Theresa Richter, age 94, of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loving family. She was born in Kernai, Yugoslavia in 1922. Beloved wife of the late Hans G. Richter. Loving mother of Mary Ann and Jane Richter. Cherished grandmother of Kayanna. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Josef and Anna Amstadt, and her siblings Magdalena, Anna, Josef, Mathias, Franz, Katharina, and Gertrude.
Theresa came to the United States in 1950 and married Hans G. Richter in 1951, had her two daughters and moved to Mt. Prospect, IL, where she lived out her life. She enjoyed baking, cooking, entertaining, and most of all her gardening.
Theresa will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
